Who Is Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal
Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker this new, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.
FIX API is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The execution is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
